Day 1
Arrive Srinagar. Transfer to luxury houseboat on Dal Lake. Evening Shikara ride at sunset.

Day 2
Visit Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Explore the local spice and handicraft markets.

Day 3
Drive to Gulmarg (approx. 2 hrs). Check in and enjoy Phase 1 Gondola ride to Kongdori.

Day 4
Morning Phase 2 Gondola ride to Apharwat Peak. Afternoon free for skiing or snow activities.

We travelled in the second week of October on Nexuvia’s recommendation and the chinars had just turned. The houseboat on Dal Lake was clean and the caretaker went out of his way for our parents. Only small gripe was a long wait at Gulmarg for the Gondola, which nobody can really control.

Transfers were punctual throughout and the driver knew the valley well. Pahalgam and Sonamarg on consecutive days was a lot of road time — I would ask for an extra night if I were planning it again.
